Chain Act 09 - A Forum

Chain Act 09 is a forum for strategic decision makers, academicians, and supply chain and operations professionals to network and evaluates best practices being deployed in a wider range of industries. This is especially for improvements and to judge the possible opportunities in the field of forecasting, risk management, operations, WCM, logistics, sales and distribution management, supply chain visibility, customer service to achieve cost reduction and quality improvements.

Supply chain is – to create and deliver customer value. Radical changes in every aspect of business and technology have facilitated the emergence of integrated “value chains” that maximizes customer value through improved strategic alignment across supply chain enterprises. It is a challenge to map the existing supply chain networks, and identify and integrate information flow throughout an organization. The need of the hour is to enhance collaboration and trust throughout the supply chain, integrate customers and suppliers to design products that improve supply chain performance, and practice strategic cost management techniques. Major obstacles could be in creating information visibility between e-commerce partners, and to the key factors that lead to successful deployment of these strategies.

Chain Act 09 is a part of our endeavor to get academicians and industry professionals on one platform to discuss the challenges industries are facing, and how they can be utilized as opportunities to grow and sustain in a competitive global business environment.
